Discovering the Dennys: A River Through Time

The Merrill Library on the University of Maine at Machias Campus will host a discussion on the making of the Dennys River Historical Society’s interactive story map Discovering the Dennys: A River Through Time. The project traces the history of the Dennys River through the past 9,000 Years. Members of the team that created this interactive map and narrative a reality will discuss the research and mapping skills that made this project possible.
Join us in Merrill Library on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 3 pm to learn more about the geology, people, and industries that have sustained and nurtured life on the Dennys for over 9,000 years. All are welcome.
