    William Rice Allan built this house next to Deacon Benjamin Foster's in the early nineteenth century on The Lane, with his carpentry shop on the premises which was later moved up the Lane to serve as single family dwelling.

    William Rice Allan House on the Lane , Dennysville Maine; William Rice Allan built this house next to Deacon Benjamin Foster in the early nineteenth century on the Lane, with his carpentry shop on the premises which was later moved up the Lane to serve as single family dwelling.
    Store Hill with houses, shops and hotels in 1881; William R. Allan's House and Carpenter Shop are located near the head of the junction of The Lane and Water Street. After his death in 1886 the carpentry shop was moved up the The Lane as a single family dwelling. Will Allan's Carpenter's Shop, relocated on the Lane in Dennysville, Maine
