    Houses on Foster Lane above T.W. Allan's Shipyard, c. 1885; Three houses are visible on Foster Lane on the far side of the Dennys River, beyond T.W. Allan's wharf and Hobart house in the foreground. T.W. Allan and Son also owned the shipyard where the schooner is moored in the distance, and the house above the blacksmith shop near the shore. T.W. Allan and Son wharves, shipyard and storehouses on both side of the Dennys River; Wharves and houses line the banks of the Dennys River, including the N.W. Bennet house on Foster Lane, later acquired by T.W. Allan and Son next to the shipyard he operated with his brother-in-law John Kilby.
