Dennysville Town School Students, c. 1910
Photograph
Elementary and high school students gathered with their teachers on the front steps of the Dennysville Town School around 1910. The primary school students, in front, were taught in one downstairs classroom, while the high school students received instruction in the other. Judging from the caps and warm cloaks, the photograph must have been taken on a cold day. The school bell visible in the belfry above was relocated to the lawn of the Lincoln Memorial Library next door when the schoolhouse was demolished in 1964.
