Cyrus Kilby House, Dennysville, Maine
Cyrus Hamlin Kilby and his wife Elvira Lincoln moved into their new house on Lane on November 8, in 1871. Six years later, in April of 1877, sold his house, land and pew in the meetinghouse to Otis Gardner and his wife Susanna Allan for $2,500. When the Gardners moved to Aroostook County, the residence was sold to Nelson Sargent and Abigail (Hobart) Allan, formerly of Edmunds. After the Allans died within three months of each other in 1904, it was purchased by Olive Higgins, widow of John and her son J. Ralph Higgins. Ralph and Grace Allan Higgins raised their family there. It was later occupied by the McDonalds, Tumosa, Dudley, and Price families, before being bought by Earl and Mary Seavey and then passed to their son Alan.
