Houses and Shops on Water Street, Dennysville, Maine, c. 1910
Photograph
Houses and stores on Water Street in Dennysville, Maine c. 1910. Looking over the rooves of Benjamín Kilby's and Edwin Gardner's houses, the front of Mrs. A.L.R. Gardner's and Fred Gardner's are in view, facing Gardner's stores on the opposite side of the road. Uphill are William Kilby Jr.'s house and the former John Smith tavern, with the school and steeple of the Congregational meetinghouse beyond. A view from the opposite direction, as seen from the Church's belfry, reveals the same structures as seen from the top of Meetinghouse Hill.
