Looking up hill the first house was owned By Robert and Mary Hallowell from the early 1900's. It burned in August 1974. The next house up hill was owned by Capt. Ralph Hallowell in the same time period. The barn on the opposite of the road went with this property. The house near the top with the ell on back was the E. I. White Mill boarding house. Just beyond and to the left is the Mill Store which later became a Methodist Church.
