Allan-Burns-Mattheson House, Water Street, Dennysville, Maine. This house is located on the river just up the street from the Post Office. From many years during the twentieth century it was the home of Ed and Winona Mattheson.
Susan (Burns) Allan had this house built next to Kilby's store with an inheritance of $1,000 she received from her father, Edward P. Burns, when he died in 1892. In the twentieth century it became the longtime home of Ed and Winona Mattheson, before serving briefly as a summer tea shop in the early 2000's.
