Seavey's Chicken Barn

Two views of the long chicken barn built in the early 1970's for the egg business operated by Earl Seavey and family, beside thier house on The Lane in Dennysville, Maine.
The chicken barn, or "hen pen," was built by Earl Seavey in the early 1970's to house 20,000 laying hens for the egg business, relying on the regular supply of feed arriving at the Dennysville railroad station. Since the discontinuation of the railroad, the building has been used for storage.
