Abner Gardner House, Cemetery Road, Dennysville, Maine
Abner Gardner, one of the early settlers and his wife, Submit (Wilder) came to Dennysville from Hingham, Massachusetts, and built this small house on the hill overlooking Lincoln Pond, later making two additions. The Gardner homestead was occupied by three more generations--Abner, Jr., William H. Sr., and William H. Jr., before being purchased by Isaac Hobart Allan, next to his grandfather T.W. Allan. The last of the Allans to reside there were I. Hobart Allan's son and daughter-in-law Nelson and Gladys (Brown) Allan, before being purchased by Dean and Nan Bradshaw.
