Gardner-Gould House, Dennysville, Maine
Photograph
This early 20th century house was occupied by the Gardner family at mid-century, and became a summer residence for two generations of dentists Dr. William Gould, who practiced in Calais, and his father, both of whom enjoyed fishing for salmon in the Dennys River and relished the view across Dennys Bay.
This house is near the location of a dwelling occupied by B. Bosworth on the 1861 map of Washington County. In 1969 it was purchased by a dentist, Dr. Gould, after the death of Richard and Theresa Gardner.
