    The diaries cover four years: 1943, 1946, 1948 and 1952. The 1946 volume contains entries from June 28, 1946 through July 4th and is subtitled, "A Honeymoon Account." In the 1946 volume and others, Iona Smith lists the cost of items and services purchased in addition to describing her daily activities.
