Samuel Eastman, son of Thomas Sr., married schoolteacher Catherine Jellison and built this house, a small cape, on the lot adjoining his brother, Thomas Jr. Since Samuel and Catherine Eastman had no children, the house later became the residence of Samuel Cambridge and his wife Rowena (Harrison), who moved to Dennysville from Edmunds.
