Joanna Hobart, daughter of Isaac Jr. and Abigail (Jones) married Solomon Potter, who erected a residence on the hill beyond Hobart Stream. The house burned on Thanksgiving morning in 1897, while occupied by Captain. Edwin Smith and family. Captain Smith rebuilt the house, which was later the home of his daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Herbert Phinney, whose large family grew up there. In recent years, the dwelling has been owned and occupied by John and Joyce (Damon) Cox.
