    Eastern Surplus Salvage yard on Route 191 in Meddybemps, Maine operated by the Smith family from the mid twentieth century, to the early 2000's. A valuable source of scrap metal to local contractors, fishermen and builders, the site has also raised concerns about environmental hazards effecting the nearby Dennys River.
