Many of the customers listed have the surname Smith.

On the first page is half a page with the heading"Camp Account" 1870. The remainder appears to be records of purchases of lumber, hay and other commodities

Records customers purchasing everyday items such as soap, toothbrushes, shoes and socks. flour, , clothing, oats, corn, carpet and butter.The volume also includes records of payments to suppliers and ship captains.
