DESCRIPTION:The Merrill Library on the University of Maine at Machias Campus will host a discussion on the making of the Dennys River Historical Society’s interactive story map Discovering the Dennys: A River Through Time. The project traces the history of the Dennys River through the past 9\,000 Years. Members of the team that created this interactive map and narrative a reality will discuss the research and mapping skills that made this project possible. \nJoin us in Merrill Library on Friday\, November 3\, 2023 at 3 pm to learn more about the geology\, people\, and industries that have sustained and nurtured life on the Dennys for over 9\,000 years.
